The Ethan Allen Homestead is located in a huge and fertile tract of land on the Winooski. In the center is the original frontier house in which lived Ethan and Fanny Allen, six children, and farm hands.

For more than ten years, the museum has sponsored hands-on educational programs highlighting the peoples who have lived at this site: Abenakis, Colonial French, and frontier Vermonters. Each year, more than a hundred schools send students to participate in our well-tested learning activities.
