Facility Description:   The Ethan Allen Homestead Museum sits on a scenic promontory overlooking the Winooski River.  Seven idyllic acres of land surround the facility.  There is also an 18th century tavern on the grounds which is ideal for receptions, private meetings, lectures and workshops.  Tavern amenities include period furnishings, free wi-fi, Audiovisual systems, tables, chairs, and bathrooms. The Tavern is fully air-conditioned and heated, and Museum staff are on hand to make your experience special!

When you choose to hold your event in the tavern be assured that your group will experience the sense of ingenuity, independence, and free thinking that characterized Ethan Allen.

     A.  Size:  30 X 26.  780 sq. ft. 
     B.  Seating Capacity:  40 people sitting at square tables.  60 people sitting theater style.
     C.  Corporate & Individual Rental Fees:  Set-up/Break down included! 4 hours-$400. Each      additional  hr.- $50.
     D.  Non Profit Rental Fees:  4 hours - $200.  Each additional hr. - $25

Food/Beverage Service: We will work with any caterer, and potlucks can be accommodated. Per Vermont state law, any alcohol service must be done by a licensed and insured bartender and provider.

Payment:  A non-refundable deposit and a signed contract are necessary to guarantee the rental.  Initial deposit totaling 50% of the rental is due at time of contracting; remaining 50% of the rental is due 60 days before the event.  Both payments are non-refundable.  Variables such as security, museum admission fees, property damage fees and any unusual requirements the day of the event will be billed after the event.

Photography Fees/Rules:
  The Ethan Allen Homestead Museum is a perfect place to take your bridal, family, company, or organization pictures.  There is no fee for photo shoots for individuals or groups who have booked the facility.

Book Your Event Today:  The Ethan Allen Homestead Museum rents the facility on a first come, first serve basis after you have met with our event coordinator and toured the facility.

To Hold a Date:  Once a date at the Homestead is put on hold, that hold is good for one week.  To secure the date the contract and the deposit must be returned to the Event Coordinator within that time frame.
